FAQs & Candle Safety

On the bottom label of each candle are care and lighting instructions. Candles are a safe way to add fragrance to living and working areas, but we advise caution and consideration of the following rules:
  • Always burn candles in a well-ventilated room and on a heat-resistant surface.
  • Do not leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Never touch a burning candle or move a candle when the wax is liquid.
  • Never extinguish candles with water.
  • Make sure a candle is completely extinguished before leaving the room.
  • Keep candles out of the reach of small children and pets.
  • Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
  • Avoid drafts, vents, ceiling fans or other moving air pathways to encourage even burning and minimize smoke or a flickering wick.
  • Add a glass plate under our dessert candles, as soy wax may overflow since the embeds are big.

Before Burning Your Candle

ALWAYS trim your wick to 1/8” - 1/4” before lighting. Every time. Your candle will burn longer, cleaner and more evenly.

During

For the initial burn, allow the candle to create a full melted wax pool across the entire candle. This will ensure even burning and maximum fragrance release for the life of your candle and is typically achieved within 3 hours.

For subsequent lightings we recommend a burn time of 3-4 hours, fully melting the wax across the top each time. If you like to leave a candle burning for an extended time, we strongly recommend extinguishing the flame, trimming the wicks and relighting every 3-4 hours. This will prolong the burn time and reduce the possibility of excess carbon buildup on the wick tip.

If your wick begins smoking or flickering excessively, extinguish the flame and trim the wick – then relight the candle.

Keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.

After

Use care when extinguishing the candle; a short, directed puff of air aimed at each wick is usually sufficient. Alternatively, you can use a candle snuffer. We do not recommend using a candle lid to extinguish the flame as this will trap smoke inside your container..

Do not move candles until the wax is cooled and set. Use caution as containers can be hot to the touch.

Discard candles when there is 1/4 inch of wax remaining or use the remaining as a wax melt in your wax warmer

FAQ'S

What wax do you use?

We use soy wax

What size candle do I need for my space?

One candle works great in bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms and typically sized living/work spaces. Larger rooms or spaces with high ceilings or open floor plans may need multiple candles for the best fragrance permeation. You can have multiple candles of the same scent, or mix and match them for your own unique blend.

Can I reuse the candle vessel?

Yes they can. Once there is about 1/4 inch of wax left, stop using the candle. Use caution and care when removing the remaining wax, wicks and any labeling. Then place the container in hot soapy water to soften any residue and labels, and wash, rinse and dry. We do not recommend scraping labels off as this might damage the surface of the container. Containers may be put in dishwasher once all wax and label residue is gone. Note: we assume no liability for candle containers or subsequent results of reuse by the consumer, once purchased.

When will I get my shipment?

Order are processed within 3-5 business days and you will receive an email with tracking information once processed - Please see your tracking information for the latest updates on arrival.

Do you ship outside the U.S.?

Yes for certain countries please see at checkout if your country is available for shipping.

Will shipping in hot weather affect my candles or wax crumbles?

Soy wax is a very soft wax and will start to melt if exposed to hot temperatures for long periods of time. Please be aware that your candles may be affected by severe exposure to hot temperatures of 80 degrees or higher for long periods of time. Unfortunately, mail trucks are not air conditioned.  Please keep this in mind when purchasing candles in the summer months. Even though orders under $50 are insured, USPS and UPS will not reimburse for melted candles so we cannot be held liable for melted candles. Please order at your own risk or choose expedited delivery services.
